The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to examine your ability to work, study, or live in an English speaking environment.

Practice Reading Academic Texts, Writing Essays and Interpreting Data.

This course is tailored for individuals aiming to achieve higher education or professional success in English-speaking settings. Obtaining a high IELTS Academic score is often a prerequisite for enrolling in university undergraduate or master’s programs and is highly regarded by employers and professional bodies worldwide

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to examine your ability to work, study, or live in an English speaking environment.

The IELTS Academic specifically measures whether your level of English language proficiency is suitable for an academic environment. It reflects aspects of academic language and evaluates whether you’re ready to begin training or studying for example on an Undergraduate or Masters course delivered through English.

You live with a host family where you will get to experience life in an Irish household and practice your English in real life situations. Our host families are carefully selected, friendly local families who are happy to welcome you into their home.

Breakfast and evening meal are provided Monday to Friday and Breakfast, lunch and evening meal on Saturday and Sunday.

Most family homes are located just outside the city centre and so you may need to take public transport to and from the school. Average distance between the school and host families is 30 minutes.

Transfers to and from Cork airport on your arrival and departure are also included.

-Host family stays are based on a Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday booking only.

-Host Family return transfer from either Cork Airport or Aircoach bus stop on Patrick’s Quay is available to students arriving between 08.00 and 00.00.

Usually students staying with us short term (for 2 to 12 weeks) book all accommodation through the school.

Students who plan on staying more long term usually book 2 to 4 weeks accommodation through the school and then search for their own accommodation when more familiar with the city.
