People who are interested in a specific conference or unforgettable event taking place in Cyprus, can combine their trip with an English course at our school. There is a wide variety of conferences held in Cyprus throughout the year and visitors have the opportunity to add on a “pre-conference” preparation course, a few days before the starting date. We help to prepare participants by working on elements of the conference programme in advance..

Descrizione della scuola

A proposito della scuola

L'English Sunny School of Cyprus è stata fondata nel 2000 ed è stata la prima scuola estiva internazionale a Cipro. La nostra scuola insegna, da 22 anni, la lingua inglese agli studenti internazionali a Cipro. Inoltre, l'English Sunny School of Cyprus è un dipartimento internazionale per gli studenti stranieri dell'Istituto privato Xenia Tsolaki Metaxa, approvato dall'associazione turistica cipriota e riconosciuto dall'associazione ELSAC.
Tutti gli insegnanti madrelingua sono pienamente qualificati e hanno molta esperienza nell'insegnare a nazionalità diverse. Sono in grado di sfruttare appieno il potenziale interculturale dei loro studenti e incoraggiano la cooperazione e la comunicazione. Le nazionalità sono miste in modo che gli studenti interagiscano sempre in inglese a lezione. L'idea di scuola si basa sul concetto che le lezioni possano essere divertenti e interessanti, pur essendo dinamiche ed educative.

Posizione

Dal 2015 abbiamo il piacere di fare lezione nelle nostre nuove strutture scolastiche. La scuola è max 15 minuti a piedi dagli alloggi per studenti. Gli adolescenti vanno a scuola insieme a piedi, ma ai giovani studenti vengono forniti dei trasporti. Accanto alla scuola c'è un negozio con snack. La spiaggia è a soli 5 minuti di distanza.

Aule

Le aule sono tutte climatizzate e hanno accesso al wifi se le lezioni prevedono l'uso di internet e la creazione di progetti. Agli studenti viene spesso chiesto di creare dei progetti e delle presentazioni per imparare a lavorare in gruppo.
Gli adulti fanno lezione in gruppi di massimo 12 studenti, i giovani di 6-11 anni fanno lezione in mini gruppi di 4-8 studenti. Con gli adolescenti ci sono 11-15 studenti per classe.

Pacchetto di benvenuto

Gli studenti ricevono quaderni e penne della nostra scuola per prendere appunti in classe, insieme a dei fogli in cui vengono annotate le diverse attività, che vengono inseriti in un file. Ogni studente ha, quindi, un resoconto personale del suo soggiorno presso la scuola.

Primo giorno e ultimo giorno

Gli studenti effettuano un test di valutazione subito dopo il loro arrivo e vengono suddivisi in gruppi in base al loro livello. Tutti gli studenti fanno un test alla fine del loro soggiorno e ricevono un certificato con un punteggio.

Orario

Lezioni mattutine per ragazzi e adulti: 20 lezioni a settimana di 50 minuti (non 45 come tante altre scuole, quindi gli studenti hanno 100 minuti extra a settimana!)
Dalle 9:00 alle 12:50 con 2 pause.

Località della scuola

Gli alloggi per studenti si trovano a pochi minuti dalla spiaggia, quindi gli studenti sono vicini al mare per nuotare, fare attività in spiaggia e sport acquatici. Il posto è un hotel a conduzione familiare con uno staff cordiale e rispetta gli standard del tipico collegio inglese. Vicino all'hotel c'è una grande varietà di negozi, bar e ristoranti così come famose gelaterie e negozi di frozen yogurt. Questo posto si trova sulla strada che porta alla città vecchia e al centro commerciale. Nelle vicinanze, c'è una bella zona pedonale e una pista ciclabile sul lungomare. È un posto fantastico per fare una lunga passeggiata lungo la costa e scattare delle foto indimenticabili.

"An experience I will always remember."

I liked everything. The classes were really useful, they helped me improve my english skills. The teacher was great, helped with everything and made the classes interesting. It was a convenient location. I loved the activities a lot. The facilities were great. Overall I really enjoyed it.

The class was of 4 students in total.
Small class, with an extremely good teacher as teacher and pedagogue. A small group works well and the teacher has time and opportunity to pay attention to everyone. We rented the apartment near the school, 10-15 minutes' walk away.
I was satisfied.
I will recommend.

"I had a very nice time in ESSC"

We were only 4 students in the class and this allowed the teacher to devote enough time to each of us. We mostly talked and that was very helpful. The school is outside the center of Limassol in a relatively quiet and peaceful area. I would recommend the school. Eirini was a wonderful teacher and I learned a lot from her.

Learning at school is at a very professional level. Our teacher is very knowledgeable, competent and friendly - with a very nice disposition :) I felt taken care of throughout my stay in Cyprus. High-level learning, focused on conversation and reading comprehension of texts in English :)

"Very good private tutoring."

The lessons were intense, progressive and adapted to my needs.
Very good contacts white Claire Baker, in charge of the courses.
I especially progressed in liesteningand understanding.
I have continue because we do not work miracles in 3 weeks.

I regret not having had the opportunity to take a group course.: This would have allowed me other exchanges.
Difficulty to immerse in Limassol because the Russian language is too present.

Thanks to the school it was possible tin the afternoon to do kite surfing for me pleasure.

I reached my 2 challenges : progress in English and begin in kite surfing.

THE ESSC CAMPUS

The ESSC campus is located in the Navarria Hotel, which is a few steps away from the beach in the tourist area of Limassol.

ROOMS

We place our students in twin and triple rooms ensuite bathroom and balcony.Single rooms are available on request for an extra charge.In the hotel, there are also 4 family rooms which have one bedroom, a living room, one bathroom and 2 toilets so they can accommodate up to 4 students. All rooms have air-conditioning and a balcony, and safe deposit upon request. The hotel has two floors with access between floors by stairs or lift. Single rooms are available on request for an extra charge.

SECURITY AND PUBLIC AREAS

The reception area is staffed 24/7 and there is a snack bar which serves drink and snacks throughout the day. Outside, there is the hotel swimming pool and a small paddling pool for young children. Around the pool there is an area for sunbathing and a large green area for games and relaxing, a tennis and basketball court, ping pong tables and more.

MEALS

Students eat an international breakfast and international buffet diner at the hotel each day. For lunch, they are provided a lighter hot meal on campus from Monday to Friday. During the excursions, they will be provided with a packed lunch and on Sunday lunch will be served at the hotel.

For breakfast there is a typical English buffet with bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, bread, yogurt, butter, marmalade, halloumi, cheese, ham and turkey as well as other hot and cold food, fruits and juices.

Supper/dinner is a buffet service and there is a wide variety of international and local dishes. There are salads, 3 main courses (meat and fish) with 3 accompanying dishes, and sweet desserts or fresh fruits.

Special dietary restrictions can be catered for by requesting at the time of booking and also by contacting our staff in resort. Please provide these upon sending the application.

Breakfast on campus 7:30-8:30 (during weekdays)
Lunch on campus 13:00 – 14:00
Dinner on campus: 19:30-21:00

Location:
It is located in the tourist area, right on the sandy beach, just 3 km away
from Limassol old town. Close to the hotel you can find shops, cafes and
restaurants as well as a volleyball and basketball court.
Rooms:
The 2-3-4-bedded rooms all have a balcony, bathroom, air-conditioning
and satellite TV. The rooms are well-equipped and tastefully decorated.
Some rooms also enjoy a sea view. Twin rooms and single rooms may be
available on request - with a supplement.
Meals:
The hotel has one indoor restaurant which serves Cypriot and international
cuisine. There is also an open-air restaurant. The poolside bar offers light
snacks and drinks, and hosts live music events most evenings.
